Constructed in local sandstone, the Gothic Revival style of its architecture is reminiscent of the great medieval cathedrals of Europe. Funerals are held at St Mary’s Cathedral for deceased members of the Cathedral parish or of other Catholic parishes when circumstances suggest. The Cathedral is not a suitable venue for non-liturgical Funerals.
