Christ Church Cathedral, Newcastle

Amos from Creightons Funeral Service referred me for this service at Christ Church Cathedral, Newcastle honouring Dr John Heard (58). John passed unexpectedly in a traffic accident, and it was a huge shock as he and his family are well known members of their community.
John’s wife Linda is also a doctor, and their two daughters went to school at the Christ Church Cathedral in Newcastle where the service was held.
Linda chose single camera coverage, with a focus on John. I captured the hearse arriving and placement of the coffin inside the Cathedral. The traditional Scottish Bag Pipers playing at the start and end of the service was a beautiful touch. I captured the blessing at the hearse, and the Pipers leading the hearse away at the end of the service. It was a big day, travelling up to Newcastle from our Newtown office, but it was touching service to film, and I was glad I could be there for the family and to honour John.
As well as the USB keepsake of the final video and photos, the family were provided with a private webpage link for family in Scotland to watch the video of the service.
Feedback from Linda via Felicia was positive:
“I saw Linda today and she said how lovely and respectful Michelle was on the day. As she always is.”
Thanks to Amos for introducing me to Linda, and Felicia, Joseph and the whole Creightons team for their professionalism and care.

I have just viewed, and so beautifully filmed. This is so special to have, not only for us but for a great many family members unable to attend, from Europe and Ireland. I was impressed by your complete professionalism and caring nature.
